Print or Reprint a Commercial Invoice

Use the Commercial Invoice Print (BCI) program to print or reprint a document that can be used by customs officials to classify merchandise so that duties and taxes can be assessed. See Background and Road Map for more information.

Caution
To avoid reprinting every commercial invoice in your system, be sure to enter Selection options.

  1. Set your options:

    1. Click the Runtime tab to set runtime options. See Set Options for Reports and Inquiries.

    2. Click the Selection tab to enter a BOL number or range.

      Note
      T      he program prints a commercial invoice regardless of the ship-to country if the Bill of Lading Print (BLP) the Print commercial invoice with BOL? program option is selected, otherwise the commercial invoice prints only when the ship from country is different from the ship-to country.

Caution
If you do not specify a specific BOL number or range, you will reprint all commercial invoices in the system.

    1. Click the Program tab to set this program specific option:

Select the type(s) of bills of lading you want to print.

Print order summary?

Optional

Select if you want to print the sales order number, customer purchase order number, and carrier's tracking numbers, or leave blank if you do not.

Print serial number ranges?

Optional

Select if you want to print the first and last serial number in a range, providing that the numbers are sequential and your serial number format supports a range, or leave blank if you do not.

List kit components?

Optional

Select if you want to list components of kits or leave blank if you do not.

  1. Choose the appropriate options:

Click View. Click View. See Background for a list of what prints.

Print the commercial invoice

Click Print. See Background for a list of what prints.

Note
The commercial invoice prints immediately if the option Allow device override? in the Date-Output Device Maintenance (ZE) program is not selected.

If this option is selected, the program prompts Output device. Accept the default device that displays, which is specified in the Date-Output Device Maintenance program, or enter the name of a different device.

Save these options for future use

Click Save.

Exit the program

Click Exit.
