Shop Floor Movement

Use the Shop Floor Movement (ISFM) program to request the movement of material between the stockroom and the production floor. The entry process is used to verify the correct item is picked and made available to the production floor. When the two items are not the same the transaction is recorded as an error and you are not allowed to continue the movement. All transactions, including errors, are logged and can be displayed by Shop Floor Movement Inquiry (ISFQ). If the item is moved from consignment inventory, purchase order and receipt transactions are created (similar to those created when the Move Consigned Inventory (IVM) program is used).

If the item is not controlled by warehouse and bin location, the entered data is simply written to the log file for information; there is no impact on inventory.
