Background: Inventory Valuation with Date Cutoff

Use the Inventory Valuation with Date Cutoff (IVCL) program to print a report that shows inventory value as of a previous date, most likely a month or quarter end. See Road Map for work flow.

The report includes this information:

  • Branch

  • Item number

  • Quantity on hand

  • Standard unit cost

  • Material cost

  • Labor cost for a parent item

  • Overhead cost

  • Outside service cost

  • Extended cost: Quantity on hand x Standard cost or Material + Labor + Overhead + Service

  • *Matl history cost: Displays only if no cost rollup history exists for this item prior to the Cutoff date (run the Item Cost Inquiry (ICQ) or Item Cost Maintenance (ICM) program and click CRU history); therefore, the displayed cost is the item's standard cost as of the cutoff date (run the Material History Inquiry (MHI) program, select the last transaction prior to the cutoff date and note the Std cost field)

  • Total material, labor, overhead, service, and extended cost for all items

  • File output includes the item's order code
