Background: Inventory Valuation for Make Items

Use the Inventory Valuation for Make Items (IVLM) program to print a report that shows your choice of standard or extended material, labor, overhead, and outside service costs for items you make. See Road Map for work flow.

The report includes this information:

  • Item number

  • Branch code

  • Quantity on hand: Quantity on hand + Quantity in floor stock

  • Quantity in WIP

  • Quantity intransit

  • Total quantity: Quantity on hand + Quantity in WIP + Quantity intransit

  • Extended standard cost: Extended material + Extended labor + Extended overhead + Extended outside service or Extended quantity x Standard unit cost

  • Standard material cost per unit if you selected U for the Print E=Extended or U=Unit cost Program option; Extended material cost if you selected E for this option: Extended quantity x Standard material cost per unit

  • Standard labor cost per unit if you selected U for the Print E=Extended or U=Unit cost Program option; Extended labor cost if you selected E for this option: Extended quantity x Standard labor cost per unit

  • Standard overhead cost per unit if you selected U for the Print E=Extended or U=Unit cost Program option; Extended overhead cost if you selected E for this option: Extended quantity x Standard overhead cost per unit

  • Standard outside service cost per unit if you selected U for the Print E=Extended or U=Unit cost Program option; Extended outside service cost if you selected E for this option: Extended quantity x Standard outside service cost per unit

  • Product class code

  • Report totals for quantity on hand, quantity picked, quantity intransit, extended quantity, and extended standard cost

  • * Average unit cost if you selected U for the Print E=Extended or U=Unit cost Program option; Extended average cost if you selected E for this option: Extended quantity x Average unit cost
