Road Map: Order Release Selection Report

Use the Order Release Selection Report (MPRL) program to print the Order Release Selection Report for planners' review. See Background for more information.

Before you run this program each time

You should run these programs in this sequence for these order types:

Planned orders:

  1. Planned Order Maintenance (MOP) to enter a planned manufacturing or purchase order.

  2. Finished Goods Planning (MFP) to calculate quantities of finished goods and configured products that you need to manufacture or purchase to meet all commitments and forecasts.

  3. Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to plan material requirements.

Configured products:

  • Sales Order Maintenance (OE) to create a manufacturing order for a configured product.

Requisitions:

  • Requisition Maintenance (IRM) to enter a manufacturing requisition.

    OR

    Sales Order Maintenance (OE) to create a manufacturing requisition for items that are not in inventory and need to be made when the order entry operator is using manual obligation and your firewall is enabled in System Options Maintenance (XM) (Manufacturing Options).

Before you run this program the first time

You should run these programs:

  • System Options Maintenance (XM) (Manufacturing Options) to set the Disable mfg order firewall? and Requisition release grace period options.

  • System Options Maintenance (XM) (Purchasing Options) to set the Disable purchase order firewall? and Requisition release grace period options.

  • System Options Maintenance (XM) (Enterprise Options) to select a date display format for your enterprise, Branch Maintenance (TBM) to select a date display format for your branch, or User Maintenance (UIM) to select a date display format for an individual user.

  • Branch Maintenance (TBM) to set up manufacturing branches.

  • Enterprise Item Maintenance (IM) to set up item numbers for your enterprise.

  • Branch Item Maintenance (IMB) to set up items for your branch.

  • Bill of Material Maintenance (MPS) to enter a bill of material for a parent item.

  • Configured Product Maintenance (MBM) to enter a bill of material for a configured product.

  • Buyer/Planner Codes Maintenance (TNM) to set up planner codes.

  • Output Device Maintenance (XDM) to set up the output devices that you plan to use.

  • Date-Output Device Maintenance (ZE) to select your default output device and set whether you can override that device.

After you run this program

You will most likely run these programs:

  • Order Release Selection (MRR) to select specific manufacturing orders and purchase requisitions for release.
