Road Map: Material Scrap Detail Inquiry
Use the Material Scrap Detail Inquiry (MSDQ) program to display scrapped material detail.
Before you run this program each time
You will most likely run these programs in this sequence:
(Optional) WIP Movement (WIPM) to enter quantities completed, scrap parents or components, and update labor costs.
OR
Labor Entry (LLE) to enter actual hours, overtime hours, pieces produced, and pieces scrapped by employee.
OR
Labor Import (LEI) to import regular and overtime hours, good pieces, and scrapped parents from an ASCII file.
Receiver Maintenance (IRC) to receive the items into your branch, or into your stockroom if you are using direct-to-stock receiving.
AND conditionally
Receiving and Inspection (IRI) to enter inspection results for items that require inspection.
Before you run this program the first time
You should run these programs:
System Options Maintenance (XM) (Manufacturing Options) to set the Shop paper release time option.
System Options Maintenance (XM) (Enterprise Options) to select a date display format for your enterprise, Branch Maintenance (TBM) to select a date display format for your branch, or User Maintenance (UIM) to select a date display format for an individual user.
System Options Maintenance (XM) (Enterprise Options) to select a Barcode option.
Bill of Material Maintenance (MPS) to enter the BOM, engineering drawing number, and notes.
Routing Maintenance (RTM) to set up a routing for an item and enter notes.
Enterprise Item Maintenance (IM) to set up items for your enterprise and enter the Xref, Alt description, and Long description fields.
Branch Item Maintenance (IMB) to set up items for your branch, enter the engineering drawing number, and bulk movement quantity.
Buyer / Planner Codes Maintenance (TNM) to set up planner codes.
Inventory Adjustment Codes Maintenance (TIAC) to set up inventory adjustment codes.
Work Center Maintenance (WCM) to create work centers and utilization exceptions.
Output Device Maintenance (XDM) to set up the output devices that you plan to use.
Date-Output Device Maintenance (ZE) to select your default output device and set whether you can override that device.
