Add a QC Failure Code

Use the QC Failure Codes (TQCFC) program to add reasons an item would fail quality control during manufacturing. See Feature Overview: Manufacturing Quality Control for more information.

Existing codes and their descriptions are listed:

  1. Choose the appropriate options:

Add a failure code

Click Add. The program prompts Code. See step 2.

Display or maintain a failure code

Highlight the line and click Select or double-click the line.

Delete a failure code

Highlight the line and click Delete. See Delete.

Copy a failure code

Highlight the line and click Copy. See Copy.

Print the list of failure codes

Click Print. See Print.

Exit the program

Click Exit.

Enter a unique identifier for the failure code.

Enter a description or change the description of the failure.

Accept the data.

Click OK.

If the failure code was just added, the new code is saved and the program prompts for another code.

If the code already existed, the program saves any changes you made and returns to the list of component technology codes.

Return to the list of codes without saving the new code or changes

Click Cancel.

Save changes and leave the record displayed

Click Apply.

Exit the program

Click Exit.
