Scrap Controlled Components

When you click Ctrl comp sc in the WIP Movement (WIPM) or Labor Entry (LLE) program, these fields display:

Selected: Selected to be scrapped or rejected

: Not selected to be scrapped or rejected

Part des

The identifier your company uses to distinguish multiple occurrences of a component in the same bill of material

Seq

The sequence number of the component in the parent's bill of material

Seq

The sequence number of the controlled numbers

Ctrl no

The control number of the component

Wh

The warehouse location of the controlled component

Bin loc

The bin location of the controlled component

Qty picked

The quantity picked

Qty scrapped

The quantity scrapped

Qty rejected

The quantity rejected for material review board

  1. Click Sel to the left of the control number you want to scrap or reject.

  2. Enter data in these fields to scrap or reject the selected component:

Enter 1 for a serial controlled component or the quantity of a lot controlled component that you want to scrap.

Scrap code

Select a code that explains the reason for scrapping this controlled component.

Enter the quantity you are rejecting.

You will be prompted for the Rejection reason code and the MRB tag to be assigned. If you select Cancel when prompted to verify entered rejection information, the entire rejection entry is cancelled.

Review your options for this program

Click Prog opts. See Set Options for Reports and Inquiries.

Display the previous set of records in the file

Click Page up.

Display the next set of records in the file

Click Page down.

Display control numbers from a specific number

Click Restart. The program prompts Part designator, Unique seq, and Sequence number. Enter the first number you want to display or leave blank to begin with the first number in the file.

Display all components or only selected components

Click Selected/All.

Exit control number selection

Click OK.

  1. (Conditional) Select the controlled numbers to be scrapped:

    1. Click Sel to the left of the control number you want to scrap or reject.

    2. Choose the appropriate options:
