Assign Tag Numbers

When you click the Tag assignment button in the Cycle Count Preparation (HCP) program you can assign tag numbers to the cycle count batch and enter a general location for a controlled cycle.

  1. Enter data in these fields:

Enter the beginning tag number.

Numeric tag numbers are zero filled. Numbers with an alpha prefix or suffix will be zero filled if the beginning number entered starts with a 0.

End tag number

Enter an ending tag number.

Numeric tag numbers are zero filled. Numbers with an alpha prefix or suffix will be zero filled if the beginning number entered starts with a 0.

If you entered a tag prefix, it must be the same as the Begin tag number prefix.

Location

Optional
20 alphanumeric

Enter a general warehouse location for tag distribution.

  1. Choose the appropriate option:

Click Modify.

Delete a saved record

Click Delete.

Exit without changing this count

Click Cancel.

Accept the data

Click OK.

  1. Enter another tag number range or exit.
