Background: Manufacturing Order Dispatch Listing

Use the Manufacturing Order Dispatch Listing (MDL) program to print a list of manufacturing orders for personnel on the shop floor. See Road Map for work flow.

This listing can also provide a convenient form for communicating data to manufacturing management, who wants to obtain progress information and estimate completion dates.

If you do not select a Sort option, the program sorts by product class. If you sort by Department, the program uses the department for the first operation sequence.

The listing includes this information:

  • Product class

  • Parent item number

  • Item description

  • Routing Revision Level

  • Manufacturing order number

  • Due date

  • Date of last activity on this order if you selected L for the Print L=Last activity or S=Start date Program option

    OR

Start date if you selected S for the Print L=Last activity or S=Start date Program option

  • Quantity ordered

  • Hours remaining:

If the Build time field in this item's record in the Branch Item Maintenance (IMB) program is not zero: ((Qty ordered - (Good pieces + Scrap pieces) x Build time

If Build time is zero: Total time to complete operations that are not 100% complete:

For regular or unattended operation: (((Qty ordered - (Good pieces + Scrap pieces) x Hours per piece) + (((Qty ordered - (Good pieces + Scrap pieces)) / Standard lot size) x Setup time)

For batch operations: ((Qty ordered - (Good pieces + Scrap pieces) x Hours per batch) / Pieces per batch) + ((((Qty ordered - (Good pieces + Scrap pieces)) / Pieces per batch) x Setup time)
