Enter an Item's Margin Percentage or Price

When you click the Margin in the EDI/Sales Quote Maintenance program, you can display an item's margin-related data, enter a new margin percent and calculate a price from it, or enter a new price and verify the margin.

Note
If you click the Margin button more than once, the current contract/pricing is deleted and then set up again, based on the current line items/prices.

The program displays these fields:

Field Name	Displays
Hierarchy price	The price for this item at this hierarchy level
Hierarchy method	The pricing type set up with the Price Hierarchy Maintenance (PHM) program. A combination of these: Customer, customer type, customer price class Special, contract Item, product class, product subclass, item price class
Hierarchy margin	The percentage that is added to the item's cost
Item cost	The unit cost for the item.
Current line price	The item's current selling price
Current line margin	The item's current margin percentage
Qty ordered	The quantity ordered for this item on this order
Qty on hand	The quantity of this item that is in on hand inventory in your login branch
Qty available	The quantity that is in inventory and not obligated: On hand + Floor stock - Obligated Or The quantity that is in inventory and not needed for other orders: On hand + Floor stock - Committed
Qty on order	The quantity that has been ordered on requisitions, purchase orders, manufacturing orders, and branch transfers (in-coming) but has not been received into inventory
ATP date	The Available To Promise date, which is when this order quantity can be manufactured and/or shipped
Item weight	The weight of one unit of measure from the Weight per UOM field in the item's record in the Branch Item Maintenance (IMB) program

Click Modify to enter a line margin or price.
Select Margin or Price.
Enter a margin percentage or price. Press F10.

The program displays the new margin price or percentage.

Choose the appropriate options:

To	Do This
Enter an item price or margin percentage	Click Modify.
Exit without updating price and margin	Click Cancel.
Update this price to the order line	Click Update.
