Road Map: Bill of Material Approval Inquiry

Use the Bill of Material Approval Inquiry (APPMQ) program to display the status of bills of material that require approval and who needs to sign off.

Before you run this program each time

You should run this program:

  • Bill of Material Maintenance (MPS) to enter bills of materials for items.

You may also have run this program:

  • Approvals Signoff (APPV) to approve a bill of material that requires approval.

Before you run this program the first time

You should run these programs:

  • System Options Maintenance (XM) (Manufacturing Options) to set the Bills of material approvals required? option.

  • System Options Maintenance (XM) (Enterprise Options) to select a date display format for your enterprise, Branch Maintenance (TBM) to select a date display format for your branch, or User Maintenance (UIM) to select a date display format for an individual user.

  • Approval Hierarchy Maintenance (APPHM) to set up a hierarchy that determines approval cycles for bills of material.

  • Approvals Maintenance (APPM) to enter approval cycle records for each level in the hierarchy.

After you run this program

  • Approvals Signoff (APPV) to approve bills of material that require approval.
