Purge Audit Trail Records
Use the Audit Trail Purge (ATX) program to delete audit trail records based on the date it was added, deleted or changed. The cutoff date you enter will be used for all audit trails selected in a single purge session. Execute the program multiple times for to purge from different sets of files based on the length of time you want audit trail details to be available. Purged records are output to a specified device; you may want to consider saving the output to a PDF file to allow future searching of audit trail history.
If you output directly to a File device type and select multiple files to process at once:
If you want all purged data in one file, confirm that the Erase or append setting for the device is A (maintained in Output Device Maintenance - XDM).
If you want a separate file for each audit trail, leave the device's File name field blank (maintained in Output Device Maintenance - XDM). Select this program's Verify each file? option to specify the output file name as each audit trail is processed.

Select/de-select a file for which audit trails are to be purged |
Click on a line and click Select or double click the line. A check mark in the Purge column indicates audit trail records for that file are selected for purge. Click Select or double click the line again to clear the check mark. |

Click All. The All button becomes active after you have select a line. |
Specify additional purge criteria |
Click Process. See step 2. |
Exit to the menu. |
Click Exit. |

Click OK to purge audit trail records for selected files through the date specified or click Cancel. See step 1.
