Set Options for Journals

When you click GL jrnl opts while displaying the GL Journal Options in the System Options Maintenance (XM) program, you can set options that apply to all journals. Technical support may advise you to set the program option for troubleshooting purposes.

Click Modify.
Click the Runtime tab to set runtime options. See Set Options for Reports and Inquiries for more information.
Click the Program tab to set this program specific option:

Print posting criteria?

Optional

Select to print the posting criteria that you have set up in the Posting Criteria Maintenance (XPC) program or leave blank to not print this information.

If you select this option, the words "Posting criteria" followed by the criteria print after each transaction on the final journal. For example:
Posting criteria - Org 01 Branch 10

If you selected a default account and no criteria, "Posting criteria - " prints on a line by itself. If you select a criterion that cannot be applied, the criterion prints followed by a blank.

Click Save to save these options for future use.
Click Exit to exit options.

Choose the appropriate options:

To	Do This
Display details of a selected GL journal print option	Click Select.
Display the GL journal print options from a specific option	Click Restart. The program prompts Journal name. Enter the first journal you want to display, or leave blank to begin with the first journal in the file.
Print the GL journal print options	Click Print. See Print an Inquiry.
Display the previous batch of records in the file	Click Page up.
Display the next batch of records in the file	Click Page down.
Review options for the selected journal	Click GL jrnl opts.
Exit the program	Click Exit.

Choose the appropriate options when you click Exit:
