Road Map: Job Schedule Maintenance

Use the Job Schedule Maintenance (JOBS) program to create or change a job stream to automate printing of reports and documents. The PowerShift Job Scheduler can also launch a job to perform cleanup functions (e.g., terminate partitions of users who failed to log out, clear rogue partitions). Contact PowerShift Support for assistance in setting up a "housekeeping" job stream.

  • User Maintenance (UIM) to set up users.

  • Program Options Maintenance (XROPT) to set options for report and inquiry programs by user, branch, or enterprise or programs that you are adding to the job stream, set options, and save them.

    OR

    GL Register Scheduler (GJJOB) to set options automatic GL registers.

  • Output Device Maintenance (XDM) to set up the output devices that you plan to use.

  • Date-Output Device Maintenance (ZE) to select your default output device and set whether you can override that device.

After you run this program

You will most likely run this program:

  • (Conditional) System Options Maintenance (XM) GL Journal Options to set the automatic scheduling options.
