Road Map: Document Output Parameters Maintenance

Use the Document Output Parameters Maintenance (TDOC) program to set and change output parameters for each type of document. See Background and Overview: Document Management System for more information.

Before you run this program the first time

You should run these programs:

  • Output Device Maintenance (XDM) to set up the output devices you plan to use.

  • System Options Maintenance (XM) (Help and Other Path Options) to set the Base path option where you will place a header image, boilerplate file, and overlay file.

  • System Options Maintenance (XM) (Enterprise Options) to enter the Default system email domain option.

  • System Options Maintenance (XM) (Manufacturing Options) to set the Shop paper release time option for your manufacturing branch.

  • Document Footer Maintenance (TDFM) to set up document footers if you want to sort copies by footer.

  • Label Program Maintenance (TDLM) to add a custom address and/or shipping label program.

  • Document Message Maintenance (TRST) to set up message codes and associated message text that you want to print on document copies.

  • Branch Maintenance (TBM) to set up branches.

  • Date-Output Device Maintenance (ZE) to select your default output device and set whether you can override that device.

After you run this program

You will most likely run these programs:

  • Customer Document Profile Maintenance (CDM) to define how you will output a document (for example, an invoice, order acknowledgment, or packing slip) to a specific customer.

  • Vendor Document Profile Maintenance (VDM) to define how you will output a document (for example, a purchase order) to a specific vendor.

  • Branch Document Profile Maintenance (TDM) to define how you will output a document to a branch.

  • One or more print queue programs.
