Use the UPC Codes (TUPCM) program to add branch-specific Universal Product Code parameters. See Background for more information.

You should run these programs:

  • Output Device Maintenance (XDM) to set up the output devices you plan to use.

  • Date-Output Device Maintenance (ZE) to select your default output device and set whether you can override that device.

  • Set System Options Maintenance (Inventory Options) (XM) option UPC Validation?.

After you run this program

You will most likely run these programs:

  • Enterprise Item Maintenance (IM) to generate UPC codes for items.
