Return Controlled Components to Inventory

If you reverse a receiver for a controlled item or close a manufacturing order short with the Receiver Maintenance (IRC) program, or return picked components to inventory with the Material Issues and Adjustments (IMI) program:

You need to select the control numbers or locations you want to return to inventory.

The program displays these fields:

Field Name	Displays
Sel	Selected: This control number or location is selected for return to inventory Blank: It is not selected
Control number	The serial or lot control number
Original qty	The quantity of this control number
Wh	The warehouse location to restock the item
Bin Loc	The bin location to restock the item
Part des	The identifier your company uses to distinguish multiple occurrences of a component in the same bill of material
Seq	The unique sequence number assigned to this component in the manufacturing order component list
Seq	The sequence number assigned to this control number
Selected qty	The quantity to be returned to inventory

Click Sel to the left of the control number or location that you want to return to inventory.

OR

Select the control number or location (not Sel) and click Modify to change the quantity.

Choose the appropriate options:

To	Do This
Display the list in reverse order	Click For/Rev. Click again to display the list in its original order.
Display the previous set of records in the file	Click Page up.
Display the next set of records in the file	Click Page down.
Display control numbers or locations from a specific number or location	Click Restart. The program prompts Part designator, Unique seq, and Sequence number. Enter the first number you want to display or leave blank to begin with the first number in the file.
Display all records or only selected records	Click Selected/All.
Select a range of control numbers	Click Range. The program prompts Enter beginning control no and Enter ending control no. Enter the first control number in the range or leave blank to begin the range with the first number listed. Enter the last number in the range and leave blank to end the range with the last number listed. Click OK.
Return the selected controlled items or components to inventory	Click Exit. This screen displays multiple times if the order has several controlled components.
