Display Log of Transactions Sent or Received

Use the Interface Log Inquiry (WLOG) program to display transactions sent/received through an automated interface.

The program displays these fields:

Field Name

Displays

Program

The program that made the transaction

Date/Time stamp

The date and time the record was sent or received

In/Out

IN: Transaction received
OUT: Transaction sent

Transaction

A brief description of the transaction

Reference

Additional detail about the transaction (e.g., order number, batch/customer number)

Type

The source of the transaction; some examples:

  • APC (accounts payable payment)

  • APV (accounts payable invoice)

  • APx (accounts payable transaction)

  • BOM (bill of material import)

  • 820 (EDI 820 remittance)

  • EDI (EDI 850 sales order)

  • man (manifest import)

  • MES (manufacturing execution system)

  • PSI (project import)

  • VRQ (purchase order import)

  • WM (warehouse management system)

  • XML (XML import)

  1. Choose the appropriate options:

Review your options for this program

Click Prog opts. See step 2.

Print the listing

Click Print. See Print an Inquiry.

View an archived file

Highlight the line and click View or double click the line.

Delete a range of records to from the log

Click Delete. The program prompts for From date and To date. Click OK to delete the records in the date range you entered or click Cancel.

Exit the program

Click Exit.

  1. When you click Prog opts:

    1. Click the Runtime tab to set runtime options. See Set Options for Reports and Inquiries for more information.

    2. Click the Sort tab to set sort order.

    3. Click the Selection tab to select specific records.

    4. Click Save to save these options for future use.

    5. Click Refresh to redisplay current options.

    6. Click OK to apply these options or click Cancel to exit without applying them.
