Australia and New Zealand (via Hong Kong) 2016

What's covered?

The holiday we always wanted was two or three months touring Australia and New Zealand. Five years ago we got an invitation from my oldest friend Malcolm to join him and Sue on a cruise along the south coast of Australia and around New Zealand. As I hadn't retired then we couldn't combine that with our other plans but we wanted to see Malcolm. Also we were aware he had undergone heart surgery so delaying might not be a good idea. We liked what we saw so with me now retired, we planned a three month trip visiting every state in Australia, including Tasmania and from the southernmost part of South Island, New Zealand, to the northernmost part of North Island.

The tour was organised for us by Debbie Rhoden at Trailfinders and, as always in our experience, they were excellent. Debbie had lived in New Zealand for two years and had a good knowledge of Australia. She knew the hotels and guesthouses to put us in and the tours to go on.
