Road Map: Financial Reports Print

Use the Financial Reports Print (GP) program to print financial reports. Each report uses a format set up in the Financial Reports Format Maintenance (GFM) program and a header set up in the Financial Reports Header Maintenance (GHH) program. See Background and Financial Report Examples for more information.

Before you run this program each time

You should run these programs in this sequence at least once:

  1. Financial Reports Format Maintenance (GFM) to set up formats for financial reports.

  2. Financial Reports Header Maintenance (GHH) to set up headers for financial reports.

Before you run this program the first time

You should run these programs:

  • System Options Maintenance (XM) (General Ledger Options) to set the YTD transaction history? option.

  • System Options Maintenance (XM) (Enterprise Options) to select a date display format for your enterprise, Branch Maintenance (TBM) to select a date display format for your branch, or User Maintenance (UIM) to select a date display format for an individual user.

  • Organization Groups Maintenance (TOGM) to set up organization groups.

  • (Optional) Report Group Maintenance (TORM) to set up a group of reports to print.

  • Currency Codes Maintenance (TCU) to enter currency codes and exchange rates.

  • (Optional) GL Sub-Types Maintenance (TGLS) to add report subtypes that can be used in financial reports and in reporting GL statistics in the Executive Information Summary (EIS) program.

  • GL Account Maintenance (GMM) to set up GL organization codes and GL accounts.

  • Accounting Period Maintenance (GDM) to set up period-ending dates for accounting periods and years.

You will most likely run these programs:

  • Financial Report Format Listing (GFL) to print a listing of financial report formats.

  • Financial Report Header Listing (GHHL) to print a listing of financial report headers.

  • Financial Reports Format Usage (GXR) to print a list of the GL accounts with all associated financial reports and format numbers currently on file.
