Update Base Year Cost

Use the Base Year Cost Update (IBCU) program to update the Base year cost field in the Item Cost Maintenance (ICM) program. See Background and Road Map for more information.

  1. Set your options:

    1. Click the Runtime tab to set runtime options. See Set Options for Reports and Inquiries for more information.

    2. Click the Selection tab to select specific records.

      OR

Click List to enter items that are not numbered consecutively. See Create a List of Items.

    1. Click the Program tab to set these program specific options:

Update only items with zero on-hand qty?

Optional

Select to update the base year cost only for items that have no on-hand inventory or leave blank to update all items.

Update only when base cost is lower?

Optional

Select to update only if the current base year cost is lower than the cost you selected for the Select A=Avg, B=Actual, or S=Standard option or leave blank to change the base year cost regardless of whether it is lower or higher.

  1. Choose the appropriate options:

Save these options for future use

Click Save.

Enter items that are not numbered consecutively

Click List. See Create a List of Items.

Exit the program

Click Exit.
