Return a Bulk Item to its Original Stocking Location

Use the Location Return Selection (ILMR) program to return a bulk movement item from the shop floor to its original warehouse/bin location. See Road Map for work flow.

The program displays these fields:

The lot or serial numbers assigned to this item

The item's current warehouse location

The item's current bin location

The item's original stocking warehouse

Qty on hand

The quantity in the current warehouse/bin location

Obl?

* (asterisk) indicates that this item and quantity is obligated to a manufacturing order and cannot be selected for return to its original warehouse/bin location.

The Display blocks with obligated inventory Program option controls whether or not obligated items are included.

  1. Choose the appropriate options:

Review your options for this program

Click Prog opts. See step 2.

Select/de-select an item

Highlight a line and click Select or double click the line. A check mark indicates the item is selected for return.

To de-select the item, click Select again or double click the line; the check mark is cleared.

Display the order the item is obligated to

Click Obligations. See Display Obligated Quantities. Click OK to return to this program.

Exit the program and process returns

Click Exit.

If you selected any items to return, the program prompts to return them.

Click Yes to return the items or click No to exit the program without returning the items to their original stocking locations.

  1. Click Prog opts to review your options. To change them:

  1. Click the Runtime tab to set runtime options. See Set Options for Reports and Inquiries for more information.

  2. Click the Sort tab to set sort order.

  3. Click the Selection tab to select specific records.

  4. Click the Program tab to set this program specific option:

Display blocks with obligated inventory?

Optional

Select to list items that are obligated to manufacturing orders or leave blank omit them.

If you select, an * displays in the Obl? column for items that are obligated to manufacturing orders. These items cannot be selected for return to their original warehouse/bin locations.

If you leave blank, the program lists only items that can be returned to their original warehouse/bin locations.

  1. Click Refresh to display selected options.

  2. Click Save to save these options for future use.

  3. Click OK to apply these options or click Cancel to exit without applying them.
