Road Map: Inventory Status Inquiry

Use the Inventory Status Inquiry (ISQ) program to display an item's current on-hand, on-order, intransit, committed, obligated, available, and in consignment quantities, sources of supply, types of demand, quantities of substitute items, or family components. See Background for more information.

You should run these programs:

  • System Options Maintenance (XM) (Inventory Options) to set the Calc available using obligated/committed option.

  • System Options Maintenance (XM) (Help and Other Path Options) to set the Base path and Item folder options.

  • Enterprise Item Maintenance (IM) to set up items for your enterprise.

  • Branch Item Maintenance (IMB) to set up items for your branch.

  • Item Substitution Maintenance (ISM) to enter substitute items.

  • Branch Maintenance (TBM) to set up branches.

  • Branch Groups Maintenance (TGM) to set up branch groups.

  • User Maintenance (UIM) to set up users and their default branch.

  • Output Device Maintenance (XDM) to set up the output devices you plan to use.

  • Date-Output Device Maintenance (ZE) to select your default output device and set whether you can override that device.

After you run this program

You will most likely run these programs:

  • Material History Inquiry (MHI) to display all transactions that affect the inventory of an item.

  • Item Inquiry (ISI) to display an item's costs, inventory value, current inventory quantities, and the quantity on hand, used, sold, manufactured, purchased, and booked for the last 12 months/periods.

  • Enterprise Item Inquiry (IQ) to display an item's settings that apply to all branches of the enterprise.

  • Branch Item Inquiry (IMBQ) to display an item's settings for a specific branch.

You may run these inventory reports:

  • Item Status Report (ISS) to print a report that shows on-hand, floor stock, obligated, available, intransit, on-order, and committed quantities and can include a listing of supply and demand orders.

  • Inventory Commitments Report (ICIR) to print a report that shows item quantity totals for commitment types of your choice.

  • Consignment Inventory Valuation Report (ICL) to print a report of the current value of consignment inventory based on standard, actual, or average cost.
