Kanban Requisition

A Kanban requisition allows a minimal amount of data to be entered or scanned to create a purchase requisition for a preferred vendor. The stockroom can then initiate stock replacement with a “two-bin” replenishment system.

Required Entries

Enter an item number, or select an item number from a list that displays items with preferred vendors. Enter the desired quantity to complete the requisition—no other entries or scans are required.

Release Requisitions

After entering the Kanban requisitions, you can use the Requisition Maintenance (IRM) program to release all purchase orders from these requisitions, grouped by vendor. All Kan ban requisitions are released with a status of "firm."

If you release multiple requisitions for the same vendor, the program creates only one purchase order.

User-defined Label

A user-defined label can be printed as a part of the requisition generation process. The program sends the branch, requisition number, and printer to the label program.
