Background: Controlled Item Tracking

Use the Controlled Item Tracking (MLD) program to display transactions for serial and lot control numbers. See Road Map for work flow.

The program displays all transactions for a lot or serial number. You can trace a component from its purchase order through its manufacturing order. For an item you manufacture, you can trace it from its manufacturing order to its sales order, and even through its return, inspection, and repair or rework.

The Type column indicates the type of transaction. See Type Codes for a complete list of transaction types.

This table shows the program that most likely initiated the transaction.
