Display Controlled Item Transactions

Use the Controlled Item Tracking (MLD) program to display transactions for serial and lot control numbers. See Background and Road Map for more information.

Hint!
You can press F2 to interrupt processing and reset your options to limit the data displayed. You may also want to select and save View option screen first? on the Runtime options tab so you are first prompted for selection criteria whenever you run the program. See step 2.

The program displays these fields:

Item number

The number of the item to which this lot or serial number is assigned

Description

The description of the item

Control number

The serial number for serially controlled items and lot number for lot controlled items

Br

The branch in which this transaction occurred

Type

The transaction type:
ADJ
: Adjustment
LWM
: Movement of inventory between warehouse locations
MFG
: Manufacturing order picking for a component or pre-assign serial numbers for a parent
P/O
: Purchase order
RMA
: Returned material authorization
RTS
: Return to vendor
SCR
: Scrap adjustment
S/O
: Sales order
SVG
: Salvage components on a manufacturing order
TRN
: Transfer

Order no

The number of the adjustment, purchase order, sales order, transfer, or manufacturing order for this controlled item

Line

The line number on the order

Qty

The quantity affected by this order.

Typically, the quantity for a purchase order and RMA is a positive number. The quantity for a sales order or scrap is a negative number. Manufacturing orders, transfers, adjustments, and movement of inventory between warehouses can be either positive or negative.

Date/time stamp

The date and time the transaction was recorded

Shelf life exp

The date this lot/serial number expires based on its shelf life code (defined in Shelf Life Codes Maintenance)

  1. (Optional) Highlight a line and click Order. The data that displays depends on the transaction type:

Click Exit return to this program or click Quit to exit the program.

  1. (Optional) Click Prog opts to review your options. To change them:

    1. Click the Runtime tab to set runtime options. See Set Options for Reports and Inquiries for more information.

    2. Click the Sort tab to set sort order.

    3. Click the Selection tab to select specific records.

Click Save.

Discard any options changes

Click Cancel.

Exit the program

Click Exit.

Highlight a line and click Order. See step 1.
