Move an Item to Another Location

Use the Change Item Location (RFIMOVE) program to move inventory from one stocking location to another within the same branch. The item must be warehouse / bin location controlled. See Background and Road Map for more information.

Instructions are written for Keypad mode. If you are operating in Scan mode respond with Return, Enter, Tab, or line feed where required.

Scan data for these fields:

Field Name	Type / Max Length	Action / Description
Br	Required 4 alphanumeric	Accept your default branch code or scan a branch whose inventory you want to move. The branch must be in your inventory group.
Item	Required 24 alphanumeric	Scan the number of the item you want to move. The item number must have a system-assigned location. A valid entry displays the item's description and stocking unit of measure.
FR Loc	Required 2 alphanumeric 8 alphanumeric	Scan the item's current location in one or two scans, depending on your login branch setting. If your option setting requires two scans, the program requires an entry for at least one of the two fields.
Qty	Required 11 numeric	Enter the quantity you want to move.
Ser or Lot	Conditional 16 alphanumeric	If the item is lot or serial controlled, scan the lot or serial number.
TO Loc	Conditional 2 alphanumeric 8 alphanumeric	Scan the destination warehouse and bin location.
Adj code	Conditional 10 alphanumeric	Accept the default adjustment code set up in the System Options Maintenance (XM) (RF Program Options) program or scan the code for the type of adjustment you are making.

The program displays the on hand quantity for the new location and prompts Update?

Choose the appropriate options:

To	Do This
Save entries and scan another move	Scan Y.
Cancel the move and scan another move	Scan N.
Update inventory and enter a reference	Scan R. Up to 15 characters can be added as a reference to the transaction. When the reference is entered it is automatically accepted.
