Receive a Manufacturing Order

Use the Mfg Order Receipt (RFIRCWO) program to scan a shop paper to receive items on a manufacturing order. See Background and Road Map for more information.

Note
Instructions are written for Keypad mode. If you are operating in Scan mode respond with Return, Enter, Tab, or line feed where required.

  1. Scan data for these fields:

Scan the manufacturing order number from the shop paper printed with the Shop Paper Print (MSP) program.

Scan or accept the quantity displayed.

Scan a different quantity.
Scan 0 to not pick the items.

If this order is linked to a demand order that is scheduled to be used prior to the Demand cutoff date set in System Options Maintenance (XM) (RF Program Options), then the program displays the deliver-to location:

  • Sales picking (if a sales order line is due to be shipped)

  • Shop floor (if the demand is another manufacturing order and the start date is prior to the demand cutoff date)

The program prompts Receive?

Scan Y.

If the item requires a serial number, the program prompts First#. Scan the serialized item number.

If you are receiving more than one serial-numbered item you may scan a range of numbers. The program prompts First # and Last #. Scan the first serial number in the range and then scan the last serial number in the range. (The range must match the quantity to receive.)

If the item is location-controlled and ready to stock, the program displays the primary warehouse and bin location.

The program displays a receiver number for the quantity received.

Change the quantity

Scan N.

Abandon the order receipt

Scan A (abort) to scan a different order number.

The items require inspection or you want to force inspection

Scan I. The program displays the receiver number.

Use the Receiving and Inspection (IRI) program to inspect and receive items to stock.

  1. Repeat the process to scan another order.
