Return Stock from Prime Location

Use the Return From Prime (RFRTNP) program to return stock from a prime location to a secondary location. See Background and Road Map for more information.

Instructions are written for Keypad mode. If you are operating in Scan mode respond with Return, Enter, Tab, or line feed where required.

  1. Scan data for these fields:

Accept your default branch code or scan a branch whose inventory you want to move. The branch must be in your inventory group.

Scan the number of the item you want to return. The item number must have a system-assigned location.

A valid entry displays the item's description and its prime location.

Scan the item's secondary location in one or two scans, depending on your login branch setting.

If your option setting requires two scans, the program requires an entry for at least one of the two fields.

Accept the default adjustment code set up in the System Options Maintenance (XM) (RF Program Options) program or scan the code for the type of adjustment you are making.

The program displays the on hand quantity for the new location and prompts Update?
