Picking Kit Components

If you are picking a line for a kitted parent item, scan data for these fields:

Field Name

Type / Max Length

Action / Description

Kit comp

Required

Scan the component item number you are picking

OR

Scan the UPC/GTIN code from the carton to verify the item number.

OR

Scan a serial number if the kit component you are picking is serialized.

Note
If RF system options are set to do a directed pick for kit components, the program displays the next component to pick at the bottom of the screen: Item, description, unit of measure, quantity open, quantity to pick, and prime location are displayed .

Ser

Lot

or

Fr ser

To ser

Conditional / Required

Scan the serial number or lot number.

Note
P
icking lot numbers as part of a kit does NOT respect the 'split lots allowed' flag on the order line. That setting applies only to the line item, not the components.

OR

If there is more than one item and you selected the Sales: Assign/pick seq serial numbers? option, the program displays the first serial number in the range. Scan the last serial number in the range.

Loc

Required

Scan the item's current location in one or two scans, depending on your login branch setting.

If your option setting requires two scans, the program requires an entry for at least one of the two fields.

If the item is serialized, you are not required to scan the location, the system will pick it from the location on file.

Qty

Required

Scan or accept the quantity displayed.

OR

Scan a different quantity.
Scan 0 to not pick the item.

Repeat the picking process for each component in the kit.

Note
you are required to pick the kits in complete sets.  For example, if you picked 2 parent items, you are required to pick two times the quantity per for each component.

If you exit the component pick without scanning all the items or a full quantity of the items required, the program prompts Not full pick, cont?

Scan Y or Tab to return to the Kit comp prompt to pick the remaining components. Scan N if you want to exit and delete all the component picks you have done. The parent item is NOT selected as picked.  The program returns to the Item prompt to start the pick again or pick a different item.
