Output to Email

If your output device is email, the program displays the Output to Email screen.

  1. Enter data in these fields:

Enter the email address to which you are sending this information. If you are sending to multiple email addresses, separate each with a comma.

If you are sending this inquiry to an employee in your company, you can omit the domain if your company's domain is entered in the Default system email domain option in the System Options Maintenance (XM) program (Enterprise Options). For example, if the employee's email address is mary@company.com, you can simply enter mary.

Subject

Accept the program title or change it to what you want to display in the Subject field of the email message.

Copy

Enter the email address of the person you want to receive a copy of this email.

From

Display

Your email address or the address entered for the System administrator's email address option in the System Options Maintenance (XM) program (Enterprise Options).

Message

Optional

Enter text that you want to include in the body of the email message.

Note
If the Email attachment format is 4 Text in body of email or 6 HTML in body of email (specified in Output Device Maintenance), the report/inquiry output is the body of the email and a message is not included.

Signature

Accept your user name or change it to what you want to display at the end of the body of the email. Clear the field if you do not want to include a signature line.

Note
If the Email attachment format is 4 Text in body of email or 6 HTML in body of email (specified in Output Device Maintenance), the report/inquiry output is the body of the email and a signature is not included.

  1. Click Send to send the email or click Exit (to return to the menu from a report) or Cancel to return to the screen from which you clicked Print.
