Many programs allow you to print a single record, range of records, or all records.
Click Print. The program prompts Print from.
Enter the number of the first record you want to print or leave blank to print from the first record in the file. The program prompts Print to.
Enter the number of the last record you want to print or leave blank to print to the last record in the file.
To print one record, enter the same record number in both the Print from and Print to fields. To print all records, leave both the Print from and Print to fields blank.
The program prompts Correct?
Click Yes to confirm this range of records, click No to change the range, or click Cancel to exit the print function.
When you click Yes, the data prints immediately unless the Allow device override? option in the Date-Output Device Maintenance (ZE) program is selected. If this option is selected, the program prompts Output device. Accept the default device that displays or select a different device.
If the program has an Options button, you can select the output device you want to use in the program's options. If the program does not have Runtime options, the default is the output device selected in the Printer field in your user record in the User Maintenance (UIM) program. You can temporarily change the default by entering a different device name in the Default output device field in the Date-Output Device Maintenance (ZE) program. Your entry overrides the device in your user record as long as you are logged onto that terminal session. If you log off and back on, the default returns to whatever is set in your user record. If you login on another screen, the second session will have the default from your user record.
If your output device is email, see Output to Email.
