Display an Unattended Operation

When you select an operation sequence for an unattended operation in the Configured Product Inquiry (MBQ) program, these fields display:

Field Name

Displays

Operation code

The code that identifies the operation for this sequence

Work center no

The work center where this operation is performed

Operation type

U: Unattended

Machine number

The machine in the work center on which this operation is performed

Oper desc 1 - 4

The description of the process performed in this operation; this description prints on the shop paper

Tool number

The number of the tool that this operation uses

Setup labor cd

The setup labor code that represents the hourly labor rate required to set up this operation

Std/Alt oper

The operation sequence type:
S
: Standard
A
: Alternate

Dept number

The number of the department where the operation takes place; prints on manufacturing orders

Multiple setups?

Selected: Multiple setups per manufacturing order
Blank
: One setup per manufacturing order

This field applies to Batch, Regular, and Unattended operations.

Note
If you selected the Unique CP RRL field for the parent item in the Enterprise Item Maintenance (IM) program, the system calculates one setup per order.

Setup time

The number of hours it takes to set up this operation

Pieces per hour

The number of output units processed in an hour

Hours per piece

The number of hours required to process an output unit

Process UOM

The unit of measure the current operation processes or produces, which may not be the unit of measure used for the final product

UOM conversion

The factor for converting the processing (input) units and hours to standard (output) units and hours. In the hole-punching operation example, if only one hole is punched at a time and there are 10 holes to punch, the conversion factor is 0.1; but if an operation punches all of the required holes in 10 pieces simultaneously, the conversion factor is 10.0.

Op pieces per hour

The number of pieces per hour output for the next operation: UOM conversion / Hours per piece

Move time

The number of shop days the manufacturing order spends in transit from this operation to the next

Send ahead qty

The quantity that you can send ahead to the next operation, splitting lots into a smaller quantity in order to begin the next operation before completing the current operation
