Road Map: Single Level BOM Inquiry
Use the Single Level BOM Inquiry (MPI) program to display a single level of a bill of material entered with the Bill of Material Maintenance (MPS) program.

You should run these programs in this sequence: None required
Before you run this program the first time
You should run these programs:

System Options Maintenance (XM) (Enterprise Options) to select a date display format for your enterprise, Branch Maintenance (TBM) to select a date display format for your branch, or User Maintenance (UIM) to select a date display format for an individual user.

Bill of Material Maintenance (MPS) to enter a bill of material for the parent item and identify a substitute item for a component.

Output Device Maintenance (XDM) to set up the output devices you plan to use.

Date-Output Device Maintenance (ZE) to select your default output device and set whether you can override that device.
After you run this program
You will most likely run these programs:

Multi-Level BOM Listing (MPL) to print a bill of material report that shows parent items, components, and related information.

BOM Where-Used (MWU) to display parent items on standard bills of material on which a component is used.
