Road Map: Work Center Operations

Use the Work Center Operations (WCO) program to display work in process for work centers and enter good and scrap pieces.

Before you run this program each time

You should run this program:

  • WIP Movement (WIPM) to enter quantities completed, scrap parents or components, and update labor costs.

OR

Labor Entry (LLE) to enter actual hours, overtime hours, pieces produced, and pieces scrapped by employee.

OR

Labor Import (LEI) to import regular and overtime hours, good pieces, and scrapped parents from an ASCII file.

Before you run this program the first time

You should run these programs:

  • System Options Maintenance (XM) (Enterprise Options) to select a date display format for your enterprise, Branch Maintenance (TBM) to select a date display format for your branch, or User Maintenance (UIM) to select a date display format for an individual user.

  • System Options Maintenance (XM) (Manufacturing Options) to select W for the L=Labor entry or W=WIP movement option for your manufacturing branch.

  • Branch Maintenance (TBM) to set up branches.

  • Work Center Maintenance (WCM) to create work centers and utilization exceptions.

  • Output Device Maintenance (XDM) to set up the output devices that you plan to use.

  • Date-Output Device Maintenance (ZE) to select your default output device and set whether you can override that device.

  • Label Program Maintenance (TDLM) to create a label program for traveler documents.

After you run this program

You will most likely run these programs in this sequence:

  • Work Center Where-Used (WCW) to display a list of all routings that use a work center.

  • Work Center Listing (WCL) to print a list of work center records.

  • Work Center Inquiry (WCQ) to display work centers.
