Maintain a Configured BOM

When you obligate a configured product and create a manufacturing order and System Options Maintenance XM Order Processing Options Allow changes of previous CP selections? and Warn of Multiple Component Connects? are selected for your branch the program displays components of the configured product for maintenance using the bill of material format.

When you click OK after selecting components of a configured product in the Sales Order Maintenance (OE) program or click Component for a line that has a configured product in the Sales Order Inquiry (OQ) program, the order number and line number, item number and description, and the quantity ordered are displayed followed by a line for each component of the ordered configured product:

Field Name	Displays
Order number	The number assigned to this sales order
Line number	The number of this line
Configured product	The item number of the configured product and its description
Qty ordered	The quantity of the configured product ordered and work file number
Seq	The component sequence number
Sel?	A check mark indicates the component is selected
Comp item no	The component item number the customer selected
Part des	The part designator that distinguishes multiple occurrences of a component in the same bill of material
Parent item no	The item number of the parent
Item type	The item type determined by the item's order code and bypass code in Enterprise Item Maintenance (IM)
Stnd?	A check mark indicates the component is a standard item
Qty open	The quantity of the component item
Qty/parent	The quantity of the component required to make one parent item
Sts	The component's status: Obl: The component is obligated Ord: The component is committed but not obligated Mfg: A manufacturing order or requisition has been created
Description	The component description

Choose from the appropriate options:

Do This

Add a component

Click Add. See Add or Change Components of a Configured Product Order Line.

Delete a selected component and all selections under it

Click Deselect.

Copy a component item

Click Copy.

Display the selected component item

Click Select. See

Print the listing

Click Print. See Print.

Change the list display

Click Disp opts and then click:

Select	To display
Current	All current selections, including unselected accessories
All comps	Display complete configured product bill of material
Selected	Only display selected prompts and components
Back	End this action

Calculate the estimated line cost

Click Get cost. See Display Configured Product Estimated Line Cost.

Maintain routing information for the ordered configured product

Click Routing.

Accept the data and exit

Click OK.
