Print an Audit Trail Report

Use the Audit Trails (ATR) program to print a report that shows additions, changes, and deletions made to data in a file. Information from audit trails is used in order change reports. See Background and Road Map for more information.

The program displays a list of files:

Y: Data writes to this file
N: No data writes to this file

Key desc

The key or part of the key of the file

  1. Choose the appropriate options:

View or print an audit trail

Highlight a line and click Select or double click the line. See step 2.

Print the list of audit trails

Click Print.

Exit this program

Click Exit.

 

  1. (Optional) Set your options:

    1. Click the Runtime tab to set runtime options. See Set Options for Reports and Inquiries for more information.

    2. Click the Sort tab to set sort order.

    3. Click the Selection tab to set select specific records.

Review the report on the screen before printing

Click View. See Background for a list of what displays.

Print the report

Click Print. See Background for a list of what prints.

Note
The report prints immediately if Allow device override? is not selected in the Date-Output Device Maintenance (ZE) program.

If that option is selected, the program prompts Output device. Accept the default device that displays, which is the device specified in the Default output device field of the Date-Output Device Maintenance program, or enter the name of a different device.

Save these options for future use

Click Save.

Refresh the options screen to show date shortcuts

Click Refresh.

Select a different file

Click Exit. See step 1.
