Export Data
When you click Export, the program prompts Output device.

Enter the name of a PC file device that you set up for this purpose in the Output Device Maintenance (XDM) program and press Enter.
If you did not enter a default file name for this device in Output Device Maintenance, the program prompts File name. -
(Conditional) Enter a name without an extension. You can enter a full path name if you want to write the file to a specific folder.
Microsoft Excel opens and displays the fields that you exported.
If you previously created a file with the same name, Excel prompts that the file exists and prompts to overwrite it. If you do not want to overwrite the existing file, you should move it to another location. If you save the file with a different name when prompted by Excel, a Windows Script Host error is displayed.
- Edit the data.
Note
If the data includes an & (ampersand), Excel displays it as #38;. When you import the data into your database, #38; is converted to an & (ampersand).
- Choose Data > XML > Export. Excel prompts you to enter a file name. Enter an appropriate file or path name (60 alphanumeric characters maximum) and click Export.
