Change your User Logon Password

Use the User Maintenance (UIM) program to change your password; the system administrator can add or change user records and assign or restrict access to programs. See Background and Road Map for more information.

  1. Enter your password for the Enter user logon prompt and press Enter. The program displays your user record.

  2. Click Modify.

  3. Enter data in these fields:

Enter the password you want to enter at the Enter user logon prompt to log on to the system.

Enter the menu you want to display when you log on, or enter MAIN or leave blank to display the main menu. Do not enter parentheses.

Menu names display in parentheses in the lower-left corner of a menu: (I) for Inventory, (O) for Sales Order Processing, (M) for Manufacturing. Add a number for a sub-menu; for example, (M3) for Order Release and Picking.  

If you see another field that you think needs to be changed, see your system administrator.

  1. Choose the appropriate options:

Click Modify.

Exit without creating this user record

Click Cancel. The program prompts User ID. Enter another user or leave blank to exit.

Enter or change notes

Click Notes. See Enter Notes or Change Notes.

Accept the data and exit the program

Click OK.

If you changed your password and click OK, you exit not only the program but also the system. The Enter user logon prompt appears.

  1. Enter your new password to log on with your new password.
