Road Map: User Maintenance

Use the User Maintenance (UIM) program to change your password; the system administrator can add or change user records and assign or restrict access to programs. See Background for more information.

Before you run this program the first time

You should run these programs:

  • System Options Maintenance (XM) (Enterprise Options) to set the Maximum no of user logon entry errors, Date display format, and Default system email domain options.

  • User Category Maintenance (XUC) to set up user categories.

  • Branch Maintenance (TBM) to set up branches.

  • Branch Groups Maintenance (TGM) to set up branch groups.

  • Organization Groups Maintenance (TOGM) to set up groups of organizations for financial reporting.

  • Audit Trail Maintenance (XAT) to activate logging of additions, changes, and deletions made with this program.

  • Output Device Maintenance (XDM) to set up the output devices that you plan to use.

After you run this program

You will most likely run these programs:

  • User Options Maintenance (UOPT) to set up default user options for programs in the system.

  • Audit Trails (ATR) (User Master) to print a report that shows additions, changes, and deletions made with the User Maintenance program.

The user will most likely run these programs from other menus:

  • Menu Favorites Maintenance (MENUFAV) to set up favorite programs.

  • Any register program to update the general ledger, if you selected the option GL update allowed? for this user.

  • Date-Output Device Maintenance (ZE) to select a temporary default output device and set whether you can override that device.
