Add a Custom Form

Use the custom form device type only when directed by PowerShift Support.

  1. Enter a unique identifier (up to 8 alphanumeric characters) for the custom form device (e.g., FOPDEV).

  2. Select C Custom form for the Device type.

  3. Click Other info.

Enter the name of an XML device in your QICWARE system configuration (e.g. X01, X02)

Device description

Enter a description for this device. This description displays to the right of device name when you select an output device in a print program.

  1. Choose the appropriate options:

Change a field

Move the cursor to the field and make changes and click Apply.

Exit without adding this device

Click Cancel.

Enter notes for this device

Enter Notes. See Enter Notes.

Display change history for the device

Click Audit. See Display an Audit Trail.

This button is available only if audit trail logging is activated for the Output Device Parameters (DEVICE) file.

Test the device

Click Auto Test.

This function is not available for a custom form.

Accept the data and return to the list of devices

Click OK.

Exit the program

Click Exit.
