Optional

Select

To

N

Does not apply

Y

Applies to clock in and clock out

I

Applies to clock in only

Controls if employees' clock in and/or clock out times to jump to the shift start and/or end time. Select N if you only want to use hours reported in Barcode Labor Entry (LRTE) entry.

If Y or I is selected, the employee's start time is set to the authorized shift start time from Employee Override Authorization (LOA) or Labor Collection Shift Maintenance (LLZ). For this to occur the clock in time must be between the clock after time and the shift start time or after the shift start time but within the grace period.

If Y is selected, the employee's stop time is also set to the shift times from LOA or LLZ when the employee clocks out after the end of the shift or before the end of shift time but within the grace period.

If the employee clocks out within the grace period at the end of the shift, his/her time is recorded as the end of his/her shift.

Examples (based on the employees LOA or LLZ settings for the clock date):

  • If the employee clocks in after the clock in time and before the shift start, his/her start time is logged as the shift start time.

  • If the employee clocks in after the shift start time but before  the end of the grace period, his/her start time is logged as the shift start time.

  • If the employee clocks out before the shift end time but within the grace period, his/her clock out time is recorded as the shift end time.

  • If the employee clocks out after the end of shift, his/her clock out time is recorded as the shift out time.

You must select Y or I to create a grace period in Employee Override Authorization (LOA) or Labor Collection Shift Maintenance (LLZ).

Clock in/out active?

Optional

Select if you want employees to use Employee Clocking (LTE) to clock in and out of the building.

If selected, Barcode Labor Entry (LRTE) will require that a bar coded employee ID be scanned to start and stop work on a job.

If not selected, employee numbers can be scanned or entered from the keyboard in Barcode Labor Entry (LRTE).

Include checksum on employee ID?

Conditional

Select if you selected Clock in/out active?; leave blank if you did not select Clock in/out active?.

Manually log off open job?

Optional

Select if an employee must log out of production before clocking out; leave blank if you want the employee to be automatically logged out of production when s/he clocks out (the clock out time is used as the production log out time and number of pieces is set to 0)
