Receive a Consignment Item

Use the Receiver Maintenance (IRC) program to receive a consignment item into inventory. See Background and Road Map for more information.

  1. Click Consignment.

  2. Enter the item number or click the Lookup icon and use the standard lookup options to select the item number from a list. Information about the item is displayed.

  3. Enter data in these fields:

Enter the quantity of this item you want to receive in the displayed stocking unit of measure.

Inspection?

Optional

Select if this item appears damaged or leave blank if it looks okay.
Some items may require inspection regardless of whether you select this field or leave it blank.

Cert recvd?

Conditional

If a receiving certificate is required for the item (specified in Enterprise Item Maintenance), select to indicate that the certificate is available and proceed with the receipt.

Cert number

Conditional

If the item's Receiving cert reqd setting (maintained in Enterprise Item Maintenance) requires it, a certificate number must be entered.

If the item is controlled, the program prompts you to enter its stocking location, lot number, or serial numbers.

  1. (Conditional) Accept the displayed stocking location or enter a different one, enter the lot number, or enter serial numbers. See Enter Control Information for more information.

    The program displays the message Receiver [number] created. In consignment.
    If you selected Inspection? the program displays the message Receiver [number] created. Ready to be inspected.

  2. Click OK.

The program prompts Consignment item.

  1. Enter another consignment item or leave blank to receive another type of order or exit the program.
