Reject Controlled Items

When you inspect and reject a controlled item, these fields display:

  1. Enter data in the fields that display (varies depending on the type of control the item has):

Enter the first in a range of  serial numbers that you want to reject or enter the only serial number you want to reject. The first number in a range must end in a numeric. If you enter a single serial number, it does not need to end in a numeric.

If you did not select the Block auto-assignment of control nos? option in the System Options Maintenance (XM) program (Control Number Options), you can leave this field blank to have the system assign them using the numbering system you set up.

Increment by

Optional
3 numeric

Accept 1, the displayed increment for assigning subsequent serial numbers or enter a different increment.

Qty in this group

Required
11 numeric

Accept the displayed quantity or enter a smaller quantity.

Ending serial number

Conditional
16 alphanumeric

Enter the last serial number in a range. Leave blank if rejecting one item.

  1. Click OK to control number entry or click Cancel to end the inspection process.
