Create a Rework Order

If you selected the Mfg rework/repair order disposition code, select operation sequences for the rework order.

The program displays these fields:

  1. Click Sel to the left of the operation sequences you want to use for this rework order.

  2. Choose the appropriate options:

Click Selected/All.

Select these operation sequences and continue processing this rework order

Click OK.

  1. Select the components to pick for this rework order. The program displays these fields:

The number of the component

Part des

The identifier your company uses to distinguish multiple occurrences of a component in the same bill of material

Qty per assy

The quantity of this component required to make one parent item

The quantity selected for this rework order

  1. Click Sel to the left of the components needed for this rework order.

OR

Click a component (not Sel) to highlight it, click Modify, and enter the quantity you want to replace if it is less than the manufacturing order quantity.

OR

Click All to select all components for this order.

  1. Choose the appropriate options:

Click View.

Select all components or clear all components

Click All.

Select these components and continue processing this rework order

Click Exit.

  1. (Conditional) If you selected to rework a parent item or components that are serial, lot, or warehouse and bin controlled, select the control numbers for each controlled item this rework order.

The serial or lot control number of a component or parent item

WH

The warehouse location of a component or parent item

The bin location of a component or parent item

The quantity of a component or parent item available for selection

  1. Click Sel to the left of the control number or location of the component or parent item you want to use for the rework manufacturing order. Click Sel again to clear the selection.

OR

Click a line (not Sel) to highlight it, click Modify, and enter the quantity you want to rework if it is less than the manufacturing order quantity.

  1. Choose the appropriate options:

Click Selected/All.

Select a range of control numbers

Click Range. The program prompts Enter beginning control no and Ending control no.

  1. Enter the first control number in the range or leave blank to begin the range with the first number listed.

  2. Enter the last number in the range and leave blank to end the range with the last number listed.

  3. Click OK.

Pick the selected control numbers

Click Exit.

The program displays the Rework order [number] has been created.

  1. Click OK. See Disposition Rejected Material.
