Select Components to Salvage

If you opted to salvage components in the Rejected Material Disposition (MRB) program, the program displays these fields:

The item number

Part des

The identifier your company uses to distinguish multiple occurrences of a component in the same bill of material

Seq

The sequence number

Description

The description of the component

Salvage qty

The quantity of this component selected to be salvaged

  1. Click Sel to the left of the component you want to salvage and return to inventory.

  2. Choose the appropriate options:

Click Selected/All.

Salvage the selected components

Click Exit.

  1. If the selected component is warehouse and bin controlled, enter data in these fields:

Accept the displayed warehouse and/or bin location or enter the location where you want to return the salvaged component.

Accept the displayed quantity or enter a smaller quantity.

  1. (Conditional) If the selected component is serial or lot controlled, select the specific control numbers you want to salvage. The program displays these fields:

The number of the component

The serial or lot control number of the component item

The quantity assigned to this number

  1. Click Sel to the left of the control number you want to salvage and return to inventory.

  2. Choose the appropriate options:

Click Selected/All.

Select a range of control numbers

Click Range. The program prompts Enter beginning control no and Ending control no.

  1. Enter the first control number in the range or leave blank to begin the range with the first number listed.

  2. Enter the last number in the range and leave blank to end the range with the last number listed.

  3. Click OK.

Salvage the selected control numbers

Click OK. See Disposition Rejected Material.
