Print Vendor Mailing Labels

Use the Vendor Label Print (VLP) program to print mailing labels for vendors. See Background and Road Map for more information.

  1. Set your options:

    1. Click the Runtime tab to set runtime options. See Set Options for Reports and Inquiries for more information.

    2. Click the Sort tab to set sort order.

    3. Click the Selection tab to select specific records.

    4. Click the Program tab to set these program specific options:

Include inactive vendors?

Select to print mailing labels for inactive and active  vendors or leave blank to print labels only for active vendors.

Print address on single line?

Optional

Select to print address information on one line or leave blank to print the address on multiple lines.

If you select this option, select a file for your output device. If you selected C for the Skip headings field for the file in the Output Device Maintenance (XDM) program, your output has column headings.

If you output to Microsoft Excel, save the file. Then you can use the spreadsheet with column headings for mail merge in Microsoft Word to print labels, envelopes, or letters.

If you print on multiple lines, use 1'' (height) by 2.75'' (width) labels.

  1. Choose the appropriate options:

Print vendor labels

Click Print. See Background for a list of what prints.

Note
The listing prints immediately if the option Allow device override? in the Date-Output Device Maintenance (ZE) program is not selected.

If this option is selected, the program prompts Output device. Accept the default device that displays, which is specified in the Date-Output Device Maintenance program, or enter the name of a different device.

Save these options for future use

Click Save.

Exit the program

Click Exit.
