Print 1099 Tax Forms

Use the 1099 Print (N99P) program to print vendors' 1099 information on preprinted tax forms. See Background and Road Map for more information.

  1. Set your options:

    1. Click the Runtime tab to set Runtime options. See Set Options for Reports and Inquiries for more information.

    2. Click the Selection tab to set these options:

Select the organization or group of organizations for which to print 1099s or click the Lookup icon to select one from a list. Click Refresh to display the selected organization or org group's description.

Vendor number

Select the vendor for whom you want to print forms.

Payment date

Leave blank unless directed by PowerShift Support; forms print for the year you specify in Program options.

Select to print 1099 forms for invoices that have been moved to history with the AP Transaction Archive (NEX) program or leave blank to print forms only for invoices in active files.

Enter 1099 year for report

Enter the year for which you want to print forms.

Select 1099 minimum amount reportable

Required
8 numeric in the format 99999999

Accept the amount that displays, which is the lowest amount that is eligible for 1099 reporting, or enter a different amount.

You set the 1099 minimum reporting amount option in the System Options Maintenance (XM) program (Accounts Payable Options). If a vendor's total 1099 payments for the year are less than this amount, the program does not print a 1099 tax form.

Corrected copy?

Optional

Select to print an X in the CORRECTED box or leave blank to omit the X.

Should you need to re-issue a 1099 form, select to show that the reprinted form is the correction.

Select 1099 type

Required

Choose the type of 1099 to print:

  • N Non-employee compensation

  • M Miscellaneous income

  • A Miscellaneous attorney - box 10

  1. Choose the appropriate options:

Display the report on the screen

Click View. See Background for a list of what displays.

Print the report

Click Print. See Background for a list of what prints.

Note
The report prints immediately if the option Allow device override? in the Date-Output Device Maintenance (ZE) program is not selected.

If this option is selected, the program prompts Output device. Accept the default device that displays, which is specified in the Date-Output Device Maintenance program, or enter the name of a different device.

Save these options for future use

Click Save.

Display currently selected dates and organization and branch descriptions, if applicable

Click Refresh.

Enter a list of vendors whose 1099s you want to print

Click List. See Create a List of Vendors.

Exit the program

Click Exit.
