Credit Hold
If you select the Credit hold? field, the system places all new orders for the customer on hold regardless of the customer's order and credit limits and whether you select the Credit management active? option in the System Options Maintenance (XM) program (Order Processing Options).
When you clear the Credit hold? field, new orders are not placed on credit hold. You can use the Credit Hold Release (CHR) program to release existing orders from hold.
If you select the Credit management active? option in the System Options Maintenance (XM) program (Order Processing Options), the system places an order on hold if it exceeds the value in the AR credit limit or Order limit field when the Credit hold? field is not selected. When the system places an order on credit hold, you can run the Credit Hold Release (CHR) program to release the hold.
If you selected the Calculate credit based on gross amount? option in the System Options Maintenance (XM) program (Order Processing Options), the system uses line and volume discounts but not order header discounts (gross, accrued, and miscellaneous discounts) to determine if an order exceeds the credit or order limit.
Currency
If a customer uses a foreign currency, the program displays all amounts in that currency. You can use the Select F=Foreign or B=Base currency Program option in the AR Inquiry (RA) or AR Aged Trial Balance Report (RT) programs to display or print these amounts in the base currency.
Audit Trail
To activate an audit trail, select one of the files listed below in the Audit Trail Maintenance (XAT) program. The system records all transactions. You can then run the Audit Trails (ATR) program and select that file to print a report of these transactions.
